Happy Tuesday!

Love LOOOOVE this day, so today I want to share with you some things I've used and read the past months (April/May), hope you like them as much as I do.

Karmin Pulses Album. I saw them on concert last year and they played some of the songs from the album and well, I LOVE them so much that I couldn't wait to bought it. They have amazing songs (party, love-hate, unlove, love.. everything!) If you buy it, you won't regret it.

P.S. I Love You. This is one of my favorites movies (I almost know all of the dialogues), but I didn't had it in my movies collection, so when I saw it on target for $5.00 I couldn't help it but buy it. And now I'm the happiest girl with my movie.

MAC Heroine Lipstick. I bought this months ago and I am SO IN LOVE, purple is my favorite color and since this is a kind of purple it was a must for my collection. Give it a try and get out of your comfort zone.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna. I love red lips, there's a shade for everyone BUT if you buy this, you'll be adding shine! It's a very sheer orange-red so I combine it with my red lip lacquer and it turns out really really nice.

Allure's April's edition. It wouldn't be a good favorites post without Lauren Conrad on it. I don't have words for the magazine. It comes very complete with all things beauty and even more complete with Lauren on the cover.

One Direction Where We Are. If you're a One Direction fan then probably you already have this. I bought it last year but I was reading something else that I almost forgot I have this book. So I read it back on April and I really liked how the guys explain their crazy lifes.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Last but not least, TFIOS! I read it back on March.. I was going thru very hard moments and this baby blue book really REALLY helped me. It's amazing how a book can change your thought and mind. P.S. I prefer the book..

Monthly find!!!!
Kate's Style by Caroline Jones. OH GOD! If you're a Kate's lover this is a MUST for you! I found it on Marshalls for the ridiculous price of $3.00. It's a kind of fun-creppy book, it includes her story, her looks and an index so you can dress just like her. Thanks to this book I discovered that I have the same coral jeans she wore to the Olympic's.

The 'S' Power

Since it's National Scoliosis Awareness Month (which has the goal of highlighting the growing need for education, early detection and awareness to the public about scoliosis and its prevalence within the community), I decided to post once a week about famous personalities who lived or live with this.

But first, What is Scoliosis?, according to the Scoliosis Research Society...
Everyone’s spine has natural curves. These curves round our shoulders and make our lower back curve slightly inward. But some people have spines that also curve from side to side, and rotate. Unlike poor posture, these curves can’t be corrected simply by learning to stand up straight.

This condition of side-to-side spinal curves is called “scoliosis”. On an x-ray, the spine of a person with scoliosis looks more like an “S” or a “C” than a straight line. These curves can make the person’s shoulders or waist appear uneven. Some of these bones may also be rotated slightly, making one shoulder blade more prominent than the other.

So now knowing about this, I want to be part of this campaign by doing some post about the theme.

So here's the first. Did you know that the 'IT GIRL' of the moment, Shailene Woodley lived with this?

What she said on interviews...

“I was like, ‘Some people have crooked teeth, some people have broken fingers, and I’ve got a back that has my initial on it." - Shailene for Popcrush

"My friends and I named my brace Casey. I took it off to eat, to go on dates, and to shower. It was uncomfortable," the movie star recalls. "But I thought, 'I can complain, or I can embrace it, literally, and move on." - Shailene for InStyle, on E!Online

"One is like kind of a nice curve and the other one is like completely flat. So, I used to look in the mirror and be like, I do not wanna put on a bikini, I don't wanna put on one piece, I don't wanna go on a bathing suit and now I look in the mirror and my curves still aren't pretty but I'm like, you know what, they're gonna be like for the rest of my life. So, even though I still don't like enjoy like having them, I embrace them and I still wear a bathing suit and go out on the beach. So, as long as you take in what you have and instead of focusing on the negative things like my toes are too long, I'm too fat, I'm too skinny, like focus on, yeah, I'm really skinny but I'm grateful I'm skinny because I don't have to cut calories or be grateful if your overweight like, I have curves and that skinny girl doesn't. So, I think it's all about embracing what you have and focusing on that versus focusing on negative things." - Shailene for Seventeen

I reunited some of my favorite photos from her, I think she can really help us to embrace what we have. It looks like she never had Scoliosis.

Happy wednesday!

Last monday I went to the movie theatre and FINALLY I got to watch The Fault in Our Stars (went to a premiere). :-)
I must confess that I didn't watched the trailer before, I only knew that Shailene was Hazel Grace but I didn't wanted to know about the other actors; that helped my imagination to work while I was reading the book. It might sound rare but I really enjoyed it that way.
I didn't knew about Ansel Elgort until the "Augustus meets Hazel Grace" scene came out! AND I WAS FREAKING OUT! In my mind, my Augustus was Dave Franco, and it will still be. Actually I really loved Ansel acting BUT Dave has something that works better in my imagination as August.
And for Isaac, I don't remember who I imagined but I liked better the one in my mind.
I really liked Shailene as Hazel, maybe because I knew that she was the actress doing that character and I always pictured her as Hazel.

I don't want to spoil so I must stop writing about this!

I'm so into the TFIOR mood that I am doing and special post, and here's how I pictured the actors in my mind. And some quotes I made up. Guess my toughts on the actors where such a Hollywood choices.

Dave Franco as Augustus Waters

 Greg Kinnear as Hazel's Father

Leslie Mann as Hazel's Mom

Malin Akerman as Lidewij

Roger Bart as Peter Van Houten
